New Player Guide

Everything you need for your first hour as a Mythraven.

1. Pick a class

Six Orders, six playstyles — see the Classes page for full stats. There's no wrong pick; every class reaches the same power ceiling through its own gear line.

2. Your first weapon

Every class has a native T1 weapon for around 40 gold. Buy it, equip it, and head to Eldenwood (level 1-15).

3. Currencies

  • Gold — earned from every fight, buys starter gear, materials, and Auction House trades.
  • Gems — bought with Telegram Stars in the Star Shop. No other way to get Gems — this is the paid currency, on purpose.
  • Fragments — drop only from boss kills, never from common/veteran/elite monsters. Fully earnable by playing.

4. What Gems and Fragments actually buy

Both currencies open the same doors — Fragments are just the free-to-play path, Gems are the shortcut for whoever wants to skip the boss grind. Nothing here is exclusive power you can't also get from crafting or drops.

  • Premium Shop (💎 menu) — Legendary uniques and Wandering Merchant amulets, priced in Gems or Fragments, never gold.
  • Unique Market (💠 menu) — a player-to-player market just for named Unique items, denominated only in Fragments.
  • Wandering Merchant offers at Rare/Epic tier — pay in Fragments or Gems, your choice.
  • Enhancement (+0 to +12) — Fragments are an optional "insurance" that raises your success chance per attempt; the base cost is always gold + material. Gems can pay that gold cost instead, but never touch your success chance.
  • Quest unlock rewards — Rare quests cost gold + Fragments, Epic quests cost Fragments only.
  • Full ailment cures (Potent Antidote, Clean Bandage, Soothing Salve, Hearthwrap, Blessed Ward, Lionheart Draught) — {FULL_CURE_PRICE_FRAGMENTS} Fragments each in the Shop's Potions tab, or found on elites and bosses. Fragments only: gold shortens an ailment, and Gems don't buy these.
  • Instant Energy refill, Offline Hunt skip, Auction listing extension — flat Gem prices that only save you time, never raise a cap or change a price/eligibility.
  • Cosmetic Enhancement auras — a purely visual glow for +10/+12 gear, no stat effect at all.

5. VIP — what it actually gives you

99 ★ or 150 💎 for 30 days: +20% gold and XP from every battle, 4-hour offline hunts instead of 1 hour, and it's the one requirement to found a Guild (joining one doesn't need VIP). It does not unlock any exclusive item — everything in the Premium Shop is also buyable with Fragments earned by playing.

6. Purchase titles

Buying a Gem package of $9.99 or more permanently earns a cosmetic title shown next to your name — bigger packages unlock a fancier one (the Marked → Shardbound → Ravensworn → Mythraven's Chosen), and you always keep the best one you've ever earned.

Bigger packages also carry bonus Gems, so each step up is better value than the one before it:

  • 50 Gems — 50 ★ · One attribute point. The smallest step.
  • 100 Gems — 100 ★ · Starter pack.
  • 200 Gems — 200 ★ · Small pack.
  • 345 Gems — 300 ★ · +15% bonus.
  • 625 Gems — 500 ★ · +25% bonus.
  • 1,350 Gems — 999 ★ · +35% bonus.
  • 3,750 Gems — 2,500 ★ · +50% bonus.
  • 8,500 Gems — Best Value — 5,000 ★ · +70% bonus.

7. Don't skip Grasplings and Wandering Merchants

Both appear during hunts as a second encounter type — Grasplings for materials (and a shot at real gear at Rare+ rarity), Merchants for direct trades. Neither one fights back. Both can turn up whether you hunt in the Telegram bot or in the browser, at the same odds.

8. Quests and Guilds

Daily quests refresh automatically and always have a reward waiting. Once you hit level 20, consider founding or joining a Guild — the Guild Market sells select items at a discount.

9. Attributes — five stats, five different jobs

Training is the slow, permanent half of your power; gear is the fast half. Every attribute pays something no other attribute pays, and all five work for every Order:

  • STR — +1 attack per point. Physical damage.
  • INT — +1 magic attack per point. Spell damage — and for a Paladin, half of every point of magic attack is added to weapon swings and weapon skills too.
  • VIT — +5 maximum HP per point.
  • DEX — +0.25% critical chance per point, up to 25% from training. A critical hit deals 1.5x damage, on weapon swings and spells alike.
  • FAI — +0.15% life steal per point, up to 15% from training. You heal that share of the damage you deal.

Gear affixes add crit, life steal, fire damage and luck on top of what you have trained, up to a hard ceiling of 50% crit and 30% life steal — the training caps sit below those on purpose, so there is always room for a good drop to matter.
