History
Kaldrath's Maw was a mountain, not a volcano, until the night a Mythstone shard the size of a cathedral struck its peak and kept burning. The Second Kindred called the impact site 'the wound that wouldn't close' in the last records they left before the archive at the Forgotten Ruins went dark. The Magma Lord is what that wound eventually grew a mind for — older adventurers say it doesn't attack so much as it remembers the impact, over and over, and anything nearby gets caught in the memory.
